Chris Brooksbank MIPA MABRP

Director & Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Chris is the sole Director and founder of CB Business Recovery and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner with over three decades’ experience in the profession.

He began his insolvency career in 1991 at a small independent practice in Batley, West Yorkshire, reaching partner level.

After a short spell at a national accountancy practice, successfully passing the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) exams in 2008, he then assisted in the start-up of another small independent practice in 2009.

In September 2020 he launched CB Business Recovery from its humble beginnings of a converted home office before leading the move to its present location in Elland in 2023.

With a wealth of experience in both corporate and personal insolvency, Chris is known for his hands-on, strategic, solution-focused approach and his commitment to guiding clients through complex financial situations with clarity and professionalism.

He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (MIPA) and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (MABRP).
